Impact Measurement

More than 250 impact frameworks coexist today, and the lack of shared standards pushes many investors back to financial metrics alone. TIL’s answer is the Signature Impact Framework (SIF): rather than attempting to measure every effect of a business, it quantifies the outcomes that matter for its stated purpose, relative to local benchmarks. We call this relative measure the impact delta. The program extends SIF across the IRIS+ impact themes, building for each theme an evidence database drawn from the academic literature on MEASA interventions, with KPIs and probabilities of impact. In parallel, it uses AI to scale the method: language models to extract evidence, an NLP classifier for intervention types and beneficiaries, and an automated calculator of ex-ante impact metrics.
