Hanan Al Yafei is Executive Director in Mubadala’s Responsible Investing Unit at Mubadala Investment Company where she plays a key role institutionalizing Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) practices and principles into asset management, new capital deployment and corporate operations across Mubadala Group. She is currently leading the organization’s efforts on social sustainability.

Previously, Hanan was Chief Executive Officer of Hub71, the Abu Dhabi based global tech ecosystem. As CEO, she was instrumental in driving the strategic development of the organization and oversaw the strengthening of ties between the public and private sector, multinational corporates, government agencies and strategic partners.

Prior to taking up her current role at Mubadala, Hanan was Executive Director of Human Capital, responsible for the organization’s overall Talent Management strategy as well as developing and growing talent pools. Hanan also spearheaded upskilling and talent retention initiatives through the design and delivery of training and professional development to all Mubadala employees.

Hanan serves as the Chair of the Steering Committee of Chapter Zero UAE. The UAE-based chapter of The Climate Governance Initiative focuses on mobilizing boards to accelerate the transition to net zero and enhance climate resilience.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Media Sciences from Zayed University, Abu Dhabi and a Masters in Coaching and Consulting for Change from HEC Paris in partnership with Said Business School at Oxford University.
