A member of the Mubadala Foundation, a philanthropic arm of Mubadala Investment Company, with a mandate to create positive impact in the community, people and the environment wherever Mubadala deploys capital,  and in partnership with like-minded partners. Hadef oversees the strategy, engagements, and overall operations of the Foundation.

Mr. Al Shamsi joined Mubadala in Dec 2022, prior to that he has 20 years of experience in semi-government and government sectors, focusing on strategy, organizational development, transformation and change management. His experience is diverse in different sectors such as government-wide restructuring, energy, social development, and entrepreneurship and MSME sectors.

He obtained his BA in International Studies from the American University in Washington DC, and a Masters of Entrepreneurial Leadership from INSEAD. He continued his journey of leadership development pursuing executive education at esteemed institutions such as Oxford’s Saïd Business School, London Business School, and IMD.
